Archos 14 Vision

Small enough to be taken anywhere, the Archos 14 Vision mp3 player measure a tiny 1.8 inches by 1.8 inches. It is ideal for people on the move or playing sports as it can be fit into the smallest of pockets or spaces.

ARCHOS 14 vision Description
Despite its size the player still features a 1.44 inch color TFT screen capable of video playback which dominates the face of the player. The control buttons are located on the side of the player and all standard functions such as play, pause, forward, back along with volume control are provided. The lock slide is also located on the bottom of the player to avoid any unwanted button press.

The top of the player features a USB slot to interface with the computer along with a built in mic for audio recording. A strap slot is also provided to easily carry the player or wear as a necklace.

Files can be added to the player by simply dragging them to the correct folders or individuals can use the Windows Media Player sync feature to copy files on the player from the computer. The battery is estimated to last about 10 hours for music playback an 2 hours for video playback. The player only comes with 4GB of internal storage and there is no option to increase the storage via Micro SD cards.

Archos 14 Vision Audio and Video
The Archos supports all the standard audio formats you would expect mp3 players to have such as mp3, WAV, FLAC and WMA. It is however unable to play any protected WMA files. Multiple play modes are also available such as repeat and shuffle. Audio levels can be changed by using the various EQ setting that are built in.

The player is able to play only AVI files however a conversion software is already loaded on the players internal memory making it easier to watch videos.

Archos 14 Vision Additional Features
Apart from a being a standard mp3 player the Archos is also able to act as an FM tuner. The player can also be used to display a slideshow or individual pictures provided that they are in JPEG or BMP format. By using the built in mic the 14 Vision can also be used as a recording device.

The Good
The Archos 14 Vision's size is a convenient and useful aspect of its design for people who do not want to deal with large bulky players.

The Bad
There is little else to the Archos than the fact it plays mp3s. The 1.4 inch screen is too small for it to be used as a portable media player.

The Verdict
The Arcos 14 Vision is for people who tend to move a lot and want to have a player they can slip into any available pocket. The limited storage space does not allow you to carry all your songs so consumers looking for a way to make their music library portable are better suited with other players.
