Creative Zen Stone Plus is a cute, small MP3 player which has 2 GB storage and is available in six different colors. It has good sound quality and additional features like FM tuner, voice recorder and stopwatch.
It is a very small, compact MP3 player with 2 GB memory. The player weighs 0.74 ounce. It is 2.1 inches wide and 1.3 inches tall with 0.4 inch thickness. It is available in six wonderful colors. As it is very small, it could be easily fit into an arm band or a keychain. Creative Zen Stone Plus is absolutely weightless and portable.
The design is quite simple. It has a very small three quarter inch round screen which displays the battery status, name of the song track and a few other basic details. To the right side of the MP3 player we have a control pad.
The control pad has a center button and the volume and track shuttle keys surrounding it. The center button is used to select a particular song and also used as a menu key. We have a play/pause button and a shortcut key at the side of the device. We also have a USB port and a reset button on top.
Performance
Performance of Creative Zen Stone Plus is quite impressive. The audio quality and battery life are above average. Most of the features seem to works perfectly well. The audio quality is excellent. All the genres like rock, jazz, classical and pop sound absolutely well.
The bass response is quite tight making the music sound very rich. There is no distortion or hissing noise whatsoever. It is a best companion in a gym or while travelling. Soft, clear music is a boon to hear especially while using such an affordable hustle free, simple device. The overall sound score for the device is 69%.
There are numerous other features like various playback settings, ability to shuffle and repeat the folders and songs, five preset EQ's, customizable equalizer settings and advanced bass boost functions. There is a built in microphone which enables voice recording facilities.
Audio file formats such as MP3, WMA, MSU and audible files are supported. Music could be transferred from system using windows explorer or could be purchased online through Windows Media Jukebox like Rhapsody or windows media player.
There is a well developed FM tuner with 32 presets, a clock and a stopwatch. The FM tuner has autoscan facilities and it is quite useful for people who like to use it in a gym. Various accessories pertaining to it like belt clip and watch band come along with the set for a little extra amount.

The good
Creative Zen Stone Plus is very compact with very low weight. Its portability is its main advantage. It serves as a good companion for gym users and travellers. The sound quality is excellent. The unit has a very friendly user interface. There is a fully developed FM tuner with 32 presets. The battery life is quite impressive. It acts as a countdown timer and stopwatch when needed.
The not so good
The MP3 player is so small and delicate and is liable to break easily. It should be made more durable. This is one of the devices with the smallest display screen. The menu settings are a bit hard to navigate due to small size. This MP3 player could not be used with MAC systems.
The track shuttle keys play the first song of each folder when we keep browsing through it. There isn't any way to actually skip them. The functions of a few controls are a bit hard to understand initially.
Areas that Could be Improved
The first thing would be to increase in screen size. It is far too small. Though the device is quite portable it has to be handled very delicately. The design of the device should be made more robust for everyday use. And some support with operating systems such as the MAC for example would increase its usage.
The Verdict
Creative Zen Stone Plus is a very small MP3 player with normal features and good sound quality. However the battery life and the speed of the device are quite amazing. Creative Zen Stone Plus is a worthy product at such a low cost.
