TRANSFER DOCUMENTS AND FILES IN KINDLE
We have numerous ways to transfer data to and from Kindle. The main and straight forward way is by purchasing the books through the Amazon store. However if you have got a new Kindle and want to transfer all the old documents purchased and stored in the old Kindle into a new one follow these steps.
Transferring files to a new Kindle
Personal documents, music files and pictures stored in the computer could be moved into the new Kindle by just connecting the USB cable with it and transferring the files. Other eBooks purchased from Amazon library can be accessed directly after registration using the Manage Your Kindle Page.
All these items will show up on your home screen. Sometimes contents present in the Amazon library will not be available in the home screen. In those cases
Select "Archived Items" from home
"View Archived items" from the menu button also could be selected
Select the title from the list shown and it will get downloaded into your Kindle automatically.
Transferring periodicals
Many people want to transfer their magazine subscriptions to their new Kindles. It could be done following these four easy steps.
Go to Manage your Kindle page
Come to the section where it says "Your Active Kindle Subscription"
Select "Deliver Future Editions" and select the new Kindle name.
Click on save. The online subscription will be sent to your new Kindle automatically.
Transferring contents without wireless connection
Sometimes we might be travelling in areas where we do not have whispernet service. In those cases we can transfer items using these simple steps.
Select Manage your Kindle page
Scroll down to "Your Orders" and select the book or subscription of your choice
Click on the "Deliver To" option in the menu.
Select "Transfer Via Computer"
Select the Kindle name and select "Download To Computer"
Choose save file and connect the computer and the Kindle with the USB cable
Once the files are downloaded, click on close.
This will work fine mostly for archived items.

When we connect the Kindle and the computer with the USB cable some files from the computer could be dragged and dropped easily into the Kindle. This could be done easily if:
The file type matches with the file types listed in the Kindle
File are transferred to correct folder with same file types and file are free of digital rights management software.
Transferring personal documents
We can send personal documents like emails to the Kindle. But it should be done wirelessly. First we send the data to Amazon and from there it is sent to your Kindle. Let us see the steps to do that.
First we should set up the Kindles email address.
Go to Manage your Kindle page
Login into the amazon.com account
Select edit info in the Kindle
Update the email address and click on update information
Then we should allow the Kindle to accept the mails from that email address
Go to manage your Kindle page
Login to the account again
Select your Kindle approved e-mail list, enter the email address and select add address.
Sending emails
Attach the personal document to the email address. It might even be a forwarded message. Send the message to your Kindle email address. A small fee will be charged. The email will reach Amazon and from there it will be delivered to your Kindle.
Usually documents below 5MB are in normal file formats are delivered within five minutes time. Documents in PDF formats or of huge size might take a bit longer to get delivered. Documents above 50 MB file size could not be delivered.
Conclusion
These are the various ways of transferring documents to and from the Kindle. Only a handful of data could be dragged and dropped using the USB cable, and the rest of the data can be transferred in this method only.
Some process might seem a bit tedious but they are actually very easy to use and work absolutely fine and fast by all means. Archived files transfer will prove to be tedious in certain cases but mostly transferring data from the normal library is a quick process.
